Since the early days of Open Mentions, I had to choose between showing mentions as comments (the reason for the site) and showing avatars for other interactions. As of about ten minutes ago, we can now have both.
There is now a new box at the bottom of topic pages (and posts) which shows likes, shares, boosts, and other interactions.
