For a long time, Open Mentions has had a glob of recent topics in a box marked “trending”. Today, I decoupled the thing that generates the trending list from the thing that makes the HTML and fed it into an RSS feed.
Which means you can now keep an eye on the topics people are talking about via your RSS reader. Just look for the RSS icon next to the Trending Topics title. Or copy this link.
Use of AI: My code was written by me. I did, however, make ChatGPT go and look up some stuff for me in the developer documentation because it makes for a decent search engine. All bugs are my own.
